Men draw against Army Masters
Posted:
1 December 2024
We usually do well in this match but a resolute Army Masters 1st pair went unbeaten during the day. Our 1st and 2nd pairs were solid against the oppo's 2 and 3 and it was left to both third pairs to share the spoils resulting in a 4 1/2 - 4 1/2 draw. Thank you once again to all the players and of course Bill Herlihy for organising this fixture, which is our last match of the season. Full match report accessible from the Photo Gallery page.

Win against a Dutch Representative Team
Posted:
28 November 2024
This was the first time in 6 years that we played the Dutch at home and it proved to be very successful both on and off the court. After 2 days of competitive singles and doubles tennis, we emerged with a 17 - 13 win. We would like to thank the Dutch players for contributing to a brilliant couple of days of tennis and I am sure they enjoyed their post-match tour of the All England Club, which included a visit to the Wimbledon Museum. Thank you to all our players and special thanks to Graham and Carolyn Neale and Mike Carroll for organising the social events. Match report and photos can be accessed via our Photo Gallery or International Fixtures page.

Win for our men vs UKAF Masters
Posted:
12 November 2024
Always a very competitive fixture and this year our men came away with a fine 5-4 victory, reversing last year's 3-6 loss. The UKAF 1st pair was too strong on the day winning all three rubbers but perhaps our strength in depth proved to be decisive. This is always an enjoyable autumn fixture with great tennis and matching hospitality.

Creditable draw against 'youthful' West Hants
Posted:
31 October 2024
Our annual mixed match against West Hants had to be rearranged (usually played in September). Always a tough test as the oppositional is generally a little younger! However, a creditable draw was achieved 4 1/2 - 4 1/2 (6-6 in sets). As always, our hosts were very accommodating and it's always good to play on the excellent clay courts in Bournemouth.
