2026 (67th) AGM - Guest Speaker
Posted:
12 February 2026
We are delighted to announce that our guest speaker at this year’s Chair & Members’ Annual Dinner will be Sandi Procter, who recently completed her 3-year tenure as LTA President.
Sandi’s many years of experience in tennis volunteering, administration and organisation, especially in the areas of grassroots and junior tennis has resulted in her delivering initiatives that have meant more children playing and staying in the game and developing leadership skills irrespective of ability and background. She also has a great insight into the future direction of padel and pickleball and where these two rapidly-growing sports sit alongside tennis.
Sandi is very passionate about our sport and has a very compelling back story, which I am sure many of us can associate with.
We are sure that everyone attending the evening will be captivated by what she has to say.

Defeat against the Dutch - but only just!
Posted:
7 December 2025
A strong Dutch representative team just pipped our Club in a high quality match played in Doorn, Netherlands. We lost the match 14 - 16 but even though it goes down as a loss on paper it was definitely a win-win overall as both teams enjoyed great tennis played in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere. Thank you to our Dutch hosts for their superb hospitality and congenial nature. We look forward to next year's match back on home turf.

Win for men's team against UKAF Masters
Posted:
30 November 2025
A fine late-November win for our men's team against the UKAF Masters at Halton. An impressive display led to a 5-1 (rubbers) victory against combative opposition. We won all 5 tie-breaks played so potentially the score could have been a lot closer. As usual, the post-match tea provided an opportunity to discuss all the 'should have/could have' rallies. Once again, we extend our thanks to Club member Bill Herlihy of UKAF for his brilliant organisation of this fixture.
